Trauma Counseling
We Help You Heal
We willingly join individual adults and couples in the depths of trauma to facilitate lasting relief and freedom.

Trauma is everywhere. We know trauma processing is essential to get you back to the calling God has on your life. At Morning Light Christian Counseling, we are determined to provide the best care possible to each of our clients. In the context of this care, we use evidence-based methods from a Christian perspective (if desired) to help people overcome the lasting effects of trauma.
We Give You the Tools You Need
The word “process” is a confusing one. It can be difficult for people to know what processing an event actually means. While processing the events is a huge part of trauma counseling at Morning Light Christian Counseling, equipping people with tools is equally as important.
Our therapists are trained in the most cutting-edge counseling techniques to help people effectively overcome destructive patterns and habits. We will help you identify your toxic patterns, implement healthy habits, and give you practical ways to practice those new habits.
We Join You in Your Pain
Trauma is called “trauma” for a reason. It is horrendous and not part of God’s original design for your life. At Morning Light Christian Counseling, we do not shy away from talking about the hard stuff. We aren’t afraid to sit with you in your pain, and we help get to the root of what is going on.

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly researched technique used to treat trauma. EMDR uses the natural, God-given process of bilateral processing (as seen in REM sleep) within the context of a conscious, therapeutic experience with a trained therapist. Each of the therapists at Morning Light Christian Counseling are trained in this therapy model and love seeing God use it to help clients process the life events that trouble them the most.
