We Work to Give You the Tools You Need to Experience Restoration

Depression can feel like the best parts of you were stolen by a dark cloud or a black hole. At Morning Light Christian Counseling, we strive to help you feel restored. We use a variety of practical, evidence-based tools to help you; personalizing each tool to fit your specific need.

Here are two of the tools we use:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): We find that individuals struggling with depression often believe lies about themselves. These lies can come from past hurts, present struggles, or a combination of both. One of the most widely used therapy models, CBT, helps identify those lies, balance those lies with truth, and take control of thoughts that are fueling crippling emotions.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR): Depression is often fueled by a deeper root. Using EMDR, our therapists help clients identify the source of the pain fueling their depression and process that pain using research-based bilateral stimulation.

We Offer a Safe, Non-Judgmental Environment to Process Your Hurt

We know that depression is excruciating and our therapists take that pain seriously. We offer a safe place to work through the root causes of your pain. Our therapists use evidence-based processing methods to help you do that, but most importantly we use compassionate care.

If you desire to incorporate a Christian perspective, our therapists are trained to help you in that way. We want our therapeutic environment to feel safe enough to wrestle with spiritual issues too.

If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or you need to talk to someone now, please call 9-1-1 or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline that is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-8255. Morning Light Christian Counseling is not an emergency clinic.
